Green for green: Since 1992 we’ve contributed over $700,000 to tree-planting organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

The Greenest Mobile Phone Company in America

At CREDO Mobile, we believe green is good. Our goal is to grow our business with minimal impact to the planet. Here’s how we’re keeping it green.

Carbon offsets.

CREDO Mobile is the first mobile phone company to join Carbonfund.org’s CarbonFree™ program.

CREDO Mobile offsets its corporate carbon emissions and pays to offset the estimated electricity use and shipping of every mobile phone that goes to our customers. (The estimate is based on Carbonfund.org's analysis.)

Solar power.

CREDO Mobile is the first U.S. mobile phone company to offer solar-powered and eco-accessories to its customers.

Donations to environmental groups.

CREDO’s parent company Working Assets has had a long-time commitment to the environment, having donated more than $10 million to groups like Greenpeace, Rainforest Action Network, NRDC, Ocean Conservancy and Earthjustice.

Recycling phones.

CREDO partners with CollectiveGood to collect unused phones — that kept over 22,000 phones out of landfill since 2005 — mitigating 144,552,870 pounds of mining waste.

Recycling paper.

We’ve planted over 2.5 million trees to cover our paper use over the years (by donating $700,000 to tree-planting organizations). We also print our bills on 100% post-consumer recycled paper with soy-based, non-toxic ink.

Plastic with purpose.

Working Assets offers a credit card that plants a tree every time you gas up plus donates 10¢ to alternative energy groups. Click here for more information.
